Suspected Serial Robber Wearing Mask And Wig Caught On Camera Robbing Chalfont Bank
CHALFONT, Pa. (CBS) – Police in Bucks County are searching for an armed serial robber who was caught on surveillance video at least three times in the past year.
The most recent incident occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank at 4275 County Line Road in Chalfont on Sept. 24th.
Around 2:07 p.m., the suspect reportedly entered the bank, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the teller.
During the course of the robbery, he fired one shot. Luckily, no one was injured.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled.
The man is described as approximately 6'0" tall with a heavy build. He wore a long-sleeve green and white gingham pattern shirt over a white v-neck t-shirt, dark colored pants, sunglasses and what looked like brown driving gloves. He also wore a full face mask and gray wig that made him resemble an older white male, although the suspect's actual age and race are unknown.
Police believe this is the same suspect responsible for robberies at the same Wells Fargo branch on June 13th and for a robbery at another Wells Fargo on Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia back on June 2nd.
The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information should call the FBI at 215-641-8910 or the New Britain Township Police Department at 215-822-1910.
There may be a reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest.
