Sergio Garcia Thinks Philly Fans Aren't Creative Enough

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Sergio Garcia made a mistake, and Philadelphia fans let him have it. There were numerous reports of taunts of "fried chicken," and clucking sounds at Garcia during the U.S. Open at Merion.
Garcia thinks the hecklers could have done better.
"But the only thing I have to say is they're not very, how you say it, like the things they yell, they're very common. They're not very creative," Garcia said via the Courier Post.
"Yeah, I think that it was a possibility," Garcia said of the chances he'd hear taunts from the crowd. "Like I said on the first day, for the most part, they've been good. Obviously, there's a little group that are trying to be funny and stand out. And they shout a little bit louder than the rest."
Garcia was criticized for what sounded like a racially charged joke he told about Tiger Woods. "We will have him round every night," García said of Woods when asked how the two will get along during the US Open. "We will serve fried chicken."
Garcia apologized for the comments, and left a note at Woods' locker at Merion. The two shook hands, and Woods said he did not plan to speak to Garcia for the remainder of the tournament.
