SEPTA Resumes Service On Trenton Regional Rail

PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) — SEPTA commuter rail service has resumed along the Trenton Line after it was halted last week because of the Amtrak crash in Philadelphia.

Trains began rolling Monday with delays because of continued repairs at Frankford Junction.

SEPTA says trains headed to Trenton will not stop at North Philadelphia, Bridesburg and Tacony stations. SEPTA trains headed toward Philadelphia will not stop at North Philadelphia Station.

Service to and from these stations was tentatively expected to resume later on Monday.

SEPTA is advising commuters who use the Chestnut Hill East Regional Rail Line to anticipate similar delays, since most trains traveling to and from Trenton also serve the Chestnut Hill East Line.

Commuters can find alternate modes of travel on SEPTA's website.

Amtrak service also resumed Monday morning between Philadelphia and New York City for first time since derailment.
