Separate Philadelphia Homicides Claim Two Lives
Philadelphia homicide detectives are investigating two early-morning murders in separate sections of the city.
The first homicide occurred around midnight in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia, where a 22-year-old man was shot once in the head in the 2100 block of South Gould Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second murder occured just after 9:30 AM Monday morning in the 1200 block of West Venango Street, in the city's Hunting Park section, where a middle-aged man in his late 40s or early 50s was shot in the head. He was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Police had no immediate suspects in either shooting.
