WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- The district attorney in Chester County, Pa. has ruled that one brother acted in justifiable self-defense in the stabbing death of his younger sibling in West Goshen Township.
Nicholas Bonini, 23, died after being stabbed on Tuesday by his older brother, 32-year-old Earle Bonini. It happened at the home the two shared on Estate Drive, in West Chester.
An investigation revealed the brothers had had an argument during which Nicholas picked up a chain and began beating Earle. Earle then tried to call 911, but Nicholas knocked the phone out of his hands with the chain.
Police say Earle then pulled a knife and stabbed Nicholas in the torso, then immediately called 911. Nicholas was pronounced dead at the scene.
