Security Guards Stabbed During Attempted Robbery At Port Richmond Home Depot

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects in the stabbings of a pair of security guards at a Home Depot Wednesday afternoon. Investigators say the suspects were trying to steal copper wire.
The incident happened at about 4 p.m. at the Home Depot located on Castor Avenue in Port Richmond.
According to investigators, two security guards confronted the two suspects as they were trying to steal copper wire.
A scuffle ensued and one security guard was stabbed in the side while the other security guard suffered a puncture wound.
The suspects ran out of the store after the incident.
The guard who was stabbed in the side was taken to Episcopal Hospital where he is in stable condition.
There have been no arrests and police did not recover a weapon or release a description of the suspects.
