Second Wilmington Police Officer Shot During 12-Hour Standoff Released From Hospital
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- A second Wilmington police officer has been released from the hospital. Investigators say Bernard Goodwyn of Smyrna shot three police officers on Wednesday night when they arrived at an apartment complex on Market Street for a domestic dispute call.
After a 12-hour standoff, police found Goodwyn's body in an apartment.
Police say Goodwyn died by suicide.
A third officer remains hospitalized in stable condition.
