Seaside Heights Residents View Sandy Damage
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey is suing seven gas stations and a hotel, claiming they engaged in price gouging in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
Residents of Seaside Heights, Holgate and North Beach are seeing their homes for the first time since the storm.
Gov. Chris Christie's office is reviewing a plan that would allow Long Beach Island homeowners to return and stay.
If the plan is approved, LBI residents, except those living in Holgate, will be allowed back if their houses are habitable.
Roads in Holgate are impassable.
More than 253,000 homes and businesses are without electricity. Jersey Central Power & Light says those who lost service during the nor'easter may have to wait until next week.
