Seahawks Injury Report: Seahawks Injured Doubles Packers List
The Seahawks are just 60 minutes of playing time away from their second straight Super Bowl appearance. In their way stands the Green Bay Packers. Seattle has home field advantage and the memory of their Week 1 against the Packers.
Of course, injuries are one thing a team can't truly prepare for, just hope to avoid. With that said, Green Bay is in much better shape as only four Packers are listed for the NFC Conference Championship. Seattle isn't as lucky as they have a total of eight players listed this week.
Seahawk Injuries
The good news is that none of the 'Hawks are expected to miss the game. Two are listed as questionable: tackle Justin Britt (knee) and strong safety Jerson Johnson (elbow). Britt didn't practice on Wednesday, fully practiced on Thursday and was back to a limited amount on Friday. Johnson fully participated in practice all three days, so it's unclear why he's listed this week.
The final six Seahawks are all listed as probable. A note on the list includes both defensive end Michael Bennett and Marshawn Lynch. Both men didn't practice on Wednesday but they're both listed as non-injury related. Both fully practiced Thursday and Friday. Center Max Unger (ankle) and tight end Tony Moeaki (calf) complete the injured offensive players. Both Unger and Moeaki fully participated in practice all three days, just like Johnson.
The final two 'Hawks listed are defensive tackle Tony McDaniel (shoulder) and cornerback Tharold Simon (illness). McDaniel didn't practice at all on Wednesday, but went back to full participation both Thursday and Friday. Simon didn't get sick until Friday, so he wasn't on the list until then. He didn't practice on Friday so he's probably the most iffy of all the 'Hawks listed this week.
Packer Injuries
Green Bay was able to keep their injured player list to a minimum this week. Just four Packers are listed and all four are listed as probable. On offense, quarterback Aaron Rodgers (calf), running back Eddie Lacy (knee) and guard Josh Sitton (toe) are listed. All three men were limited in practice Thursday and Friday. Lacy wasn't on the injury report until Thursday, so his status does not include Wednesday's practice. For Rodgers and Sitton, both men were also limited in practice on Wednesday as well. The final Packer is defensive tackle Josh Boyd (ankle). He was limited in practice both Wednesday and Thursday but was back to full participation on Friday.
Kickoff from CenturyLink Field is scheduled for 12:05 pm PT on Sunday afternoon.
For reference:
Probable: a 75% chance the injured player will be medically cleared for the game
Questionable: a 50% chance the injured player will be medically cleared for the game
Doubtful: a 25% chance the injured player will be medically cleared for the game
Out: there is no chance the injured player will be medically cleared for the game
