UPDATE: Driver Of Striking Car Critical Following Del. Bus Accident

TOWNSEND, Del. (CBS) — Police are investigating an accident that involved a school bus and injured six in Delaware early Friday morning.
The accident happened shortly before 8 a.m. along South DuPont Parkway by Main Drive in Townsend.
According to investigators, a 2007 International school bus was stopped on right shoulder of South DuPont Parkway in order to allow students to board. While the bus was stopped with its "STOP" sign flashing, a 2003 Volvo XC90 rear-ended it, pushing it into the group of students.
Investigators say five children were struck and transported to various hospitals, where they were treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the bus, Carol Shane, 43, of Townsend, was not injured, but the driver of the Volvo, 43-year-old Curtis Morris, of Smyrna, was transported to Christiana Hospital where he is in critical condition.
The accident remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
