School Bus Driver Charged With DUI After Crash In Bucks County
BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) - A former bus driver in Bensalem (Bucks County) is now facing drunk driving charges after she was involved in an accident while driving the bus last month.
Bensalem police have charged 45-year-old Kim Townsend with driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, and child endangerment.
Police say Townsend, of the 4800 block of Cypress Avenue, had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit when she struck another vehicle on June 15th at the intersection of Street and Knights Roads (see related story).
There were no children on the bus at the time, but police believe she had just dropped off some students in that area.
Bail for Townsend was set at $150,000.
