Say What? Linc Named NFL's Most Veggie-Friendly Stadium
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Eagles have been recognized by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for their committment to serving vegetarian food at all home games.
PETA's Dan Shannon says the group sampled the vegetarian fare at all 32 NFL Stadiums:
"We picked the Linc because they got the best variety and quality of vegetarian options we surveyed. We did a little point system where you got 5 points for a veggie burger, 3 points for veggie dog, that kind of thing and Lincoln Financial Field definitely came out on top."
The stereotypical veggie hot spots such as San Francisco and San Diego got smoked in this survey.
Rough and tumble Alameda County Coliseum, home of the Oakland Raiders took second place, followed by those faux brat eatin' Packers fans at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The Eagles declined comment.
