Sarah Jessica Parker Gives Her Blessing To The Carrie Diaries

Fans around the world simply could not get enough of Carrie Bradshaw and her three best friends in the iconic HBO series Sex and the City. And now those enthusiasts have something to look forward to. The Carrie Diaries serves as a prequel to the classic show, and shows Carrie Bradshaw in 1984 as a high school student discovering debatably her first real love, Manhattan.

AnnaSophia Robb portrays the young and beloved Carrie Bradshaw, and let's just say she has some big Manolo Blahniks to fill. Luckily, she has the original Carrie's support. AnnaSophia Robb reveals that Sarah Jessica Parker sent her a note offering her blessing, encouraging her, and saying how dear the role was to her. According to US Weekly, Robb says she has responded to the supportive note and it was "really cool!"

The Carrie Diaries premiered Monday, January 14th and airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. right here on the CW Philly.
