Santorum Speaks In Harrisburg
CAMP HILL, Pa. (AP) — Rick Santorum is making his argument to hundreds of Pennsylvania conservatives that Republican front-runner Mitt Romney's beliefs are too similar to President Barack Obama's to attack the Democrat on the key issues of health care and the economy.
Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator, spoke Saturday in suburban Harrisburg before departing for campaign events in Wisconsin.
Asked afterward by a reporter about pressure to bow out of the race, Santorum responded, "What pressure?"
Santorum told the crowd that he began to understand frustration with Washington after his landslide Senate loss in 2006 and he pointed out that Abraham Lincoln ran for president after losing a Senate race.
Presidential primaries are usually settled before Pennsylvania's primary rolls around, but this year it could play a part. The state's primary is April 24.
