Post-Occupy Dilworth Plaza Cleanup Begins
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Sanitation workers are cleaning up Dilworth Plaza, the former home of Occupy Philadelphia. Police ordered occupiers off the plaza at about 1 a.m., more than two days after a deadline to vacate their camp (see full coverage).
There are at least three bulldozers to push debris -- tents, tarps, blankets, clothing and other materials are being loaded onto dump trucks.
Nearly all of the remnants of the occupation are gone. Firefighters are hosing down the area on Dilworth Plaza, washing away some of the filth that was left there.
Cleanup is expected to last through much of the morning.
