Sandusky Defense Responds To Allegations Of Improper Use Of Subpoenas

HARRISBURG, Pa (CBS) -- Jerry Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola, has fired back in court documents responding to allegations that he has abused subpoena power. Those documents contain startling allegations about some of Sandusky's accusers.
In his response to a prosecution motion seeking to stop him from issuing subpoenas, Amendola asserts his use of subpoenas is proper.
The court filed response goes on to contend that based on limited information given by the prosecution, Sandusky's defense has already discovered that the Commonwealth provided criminal records which failed to indicate that one of the alleged victims was convicted of robbery, and that the prosecution failed to advise them with reports that another accuser had made a false allegation that an "unknown adult male related to the Second Mile" had approached him in a bathroom at his high school.
The defense claims that kind of information is critical to the issue of the credibility of witnesses, and has filed a second motion seeking to compel the prosecution to give information.
