Saint Joe's Rallies To Defeat Drexel 75-55
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Halil Kanacevic scored a career-high 27 points to go with 14 rebounds and Saint Joseph's enjoyed a huge second half in taking a 75-55 victory over Drexel on Wednesday night.
Drexel (7-3) led 27-23 at halftime before the Hawks (5-4) scored 52 points in the second half on 57.6 percent shooting.
In the second half, Kanacevic scored nine points in the first 6 minutes as the Hawks overtook the Dragons with a 19-5 run for a 10-point lead. Drexel got within seven with 7:36 left but a 16-2 Hawks run put the game out of reach.
Kanacevic, who made 12 of 13 shots, was joined in double figures by DeAndre' Bembry with 18 points and Langston Galloway and Chris Wilson with 11 apiece.
The victory came after consecutive losses to city rivals Temple and Villanova.
Tavon Allen led Drexel with 20 points. The Dragons had a four-game winning streak snapped.
