Ryan To Boost GOP Ticket In Fleeting Pennsylvania Visit
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is slated to visit Pennsylvania.
The Wisconsin congressman is scheduled to attend a rally at a private terminal at Harrisburg International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
The Pennsylvania event is part of a daylong tour that includes rallies in Ohio, Virginia and Florida.
Ryan's visit comes one day before GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is scheduled to visit Pennsylvania for the first time since September. Romney plans to attend a Sunday rally in Yardley, on the New Jersey border 20 miles northeast of Philadelphia.
Independent polls have consistently shown Democratic President Barack Obama leading in the state, but Romney is hoping his 11th-hour blitz of personal appearances and TV ads will turn that around before Tuesday's election.
