Rutgers Prioritizes $410M Worth Of Projects
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — Rutgers University's Board of Governors has released its top building priorities.
The state university said Thursday that it will ask the state for $410 million for construction and renovation of academic facilities. The money is being collected after voters last year approved a bond referendum to pay for such upgrades for public and most private colleges and universities in the state.
The top priorities include a chemistry and chemical biology building in Piscataway, a life sciences center in Newark, and building in Camden for a nursing school and science classes.
The university also plans expansion of its pharmacy school building in Piscataway and dental school in Newark and renovations at a dental lab and school of health-related professions, both in Newark.
Infrastructure and technology improvements are planned on all campuses.
