Roy Jackel Jr. Shot, Killed By Officers In Buena Vista After Stealing Police Car, AG Says
BUENA VISTA, N.J. (CBS) -- A man accused of stealing a police car in South Jersey was shot and killed by officers. It started Monday afternoon when officers were called to a crash at Cumberland and Tuckahoe Roads in Buena Vista.
That's when police say 41-year-old Roy Jackel Jr. hopped in a Franklin Township officer's car and drove away. Police shot and killed Jackel after finding him about a mile away.
The New Jersey Attorney General's Office is now looking into the shooting.
