Route 202 In Chester County Reopens After Fatal Motorcyle Accident
EAST GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS ) - Route 202 in Chester County is now reopened after a motorcycle accident claimed the life of a 45-year-old man Sunday afternoon.
The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident that took place on Route 202 southbound in East Goshen at about 1:30p.m.
The rider, who police identify as a Coatesville resident, lost control of his Kawasaki motorbike, ending up in the center grass median between Morstein and Boot Road.
Police say the victim was killed instantly after he and his vehicle struck the center guide cable and posts.
According to investigators, the victim was wearing a full face motorcycle helmet when he crashed. They believe speed was a factor in this accident.
