Rookie Survey Reveals Sixers Have Funniest And Best Defensive Rookie Players
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- 38 rookies answered eight questions at the annual Rookie Photo Shoot on Sunday. The Sixers were well represented in the survey, as Nerlens Noel, Joel Embiid, K.J. McDaniels, and Jerami Grant all received votes.
Two Sixers finished in the top-three for funniest rookie, as Embiid was voted the funniest with 20.0% of the vote, while Grant finished third. Embiid also received 8.1% of the vote for best defender, which happened to be won by his teammate K.J. McDaniels.
Noel was tied four fourth in 2014-15 NBA rookie of the year voting. Noel received 5.6% of the vote, but it was noted that many players may have forgotten about Noel because he was not in their draft class. Jabari Parker was first with 52.8% of the vote.
