Romney Holds Fundraiser In Rittenhouse, Occupy Philadelphia Protestors Make Voices Heard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney met with donors at a fundraising event at the Rittenhouse hotel Friday evening. Occupy Philadelphia protesters were there as well.

While the former Massachusetts Governor was inside meeting with fundraisers, members of Occupy Philadelphia marched on Rittenhouse Square, first setting up shop on 19th street, before heading to 20th street hoping to catch Romney sneaking in the back door.

But they missed their chance as Romney and a group of several others cut directly through the park and in the front door. Still, protestors made their way back around the building, and continued to spread their message.

"The money in politics has completely distorted our democracy, and that's why they're here tonight."

After a few minutes of protests, the demonstrators made their way back to city hall.

The fundraiser was expected to draw about $300,000 for Romney's campaign.
