Romero To DL, Zagurski Recalled
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies placed lefthander J.C. Romero on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday with a right calf strain. Romero suffered the injury trying to make a fielding play in the 9th inning of Monday night's 6-3, 12-inning loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
To take Romero's place on the roster, the Phillies recalled 28-year-old lefthander Mike Zagurski from AAA Lehigh Valley.
Romero is 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA in seven games this season.
Zagurski has pitched well for the Iron Pigs this season, going 1-0 with a save in three games with a 0.00 ERA. In 3 1/3 innings he has allowed two hits while striking out seven.
