Rocky-obsessed Toddler Meets Sylvester Stallone On Fifth Birthday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Northeast Philadelphia boy got the birthday present of a lifetime last week.
Tracy Blake says her five-year-old son, Lloyd, has been obsessed with Rocky since the age of two. So when he heard that Rocky himself was in town filming a new movie, he wanted to meet him.
"When I told him [Sylvester Stallone] was doing another 'Rocky' movie out here, he said all he wanted for his birthday was to see him in person," she explained. "He gets home from pre-school and grabs the remote and just puts 'Rocky' on because they are all taped to the DVR. Same thing on weekends when he gets up. He started doing boxing fitness about four months ago because when he grows up, he wants to be like Rocky."
"We live in the Northeast but we drove down to Port Richmond on Friday in the afternoon when he was filming," she added. "I screamed from across the street that it was Lloyd's fifth birthday, and Sylvester told us to come over."
Tracy said Stallone was "play-boxing" with Lloyd and swung him around before giving him a hug and taking photos with Lloyd and Tracy's daughter, six-year-old Ciana. She managed to capture some of the incident on video, too.
"He literally made my son's dream come true," Tracy said. "He is an awesome guy…It was a really great present for Lloyd."
Stallone is currently in Philadelphia filming a Rocky spin-off film that's scheduled to be released in 2016.
