Robots Will Eliminate Up To 20 Million Manufacturing Jobs By 2030, Report Finds
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The use of robots is on the rise and now they're taking over human jobs. According to a new report from Oxford Economics, robots are on track to eliminate up to 20 million manufacturing jobs by 2030.
At the current rate, robots could displace about 8.5% of the global manufacturing workforce.
Workers in rural areas are the most vulnerable because they are more reliant on manufacturing jobs.
