Robbery Suspect Shot After Pointing Gun At Officers
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police were forced to open fire on a robbery suspect after he allegedly pointed a gun at officers twice Monday evening.
The incident happened at about 8:20 p.m. near the 4800 block of N. Palethorp Street in the city's Feltonville section.
According to investigators, two 25th District officers responded to the robbery of an iPod. As officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene and a foot pursuit ensued.

As the chase arrived at Palethorp Street, the suspect again pointed a weapon at officers. The officers discharged again, striking the suspect in his right hand and hip area.
The suspect was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition. Investigators say they found a gun and iPod at the scene.
