Teller Shot During Mercer County Bank Robbery
MERCERVILLE, N.J. (CBS) – A teller was shot during a robbery at a Mercer County bank Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at about 10 a.m. at the JP Morgan Chase Bank located at Klockner Road and Whitehorse Mercerville Road in Hamilton, New Jersey.
According to investigators, the suspect entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The suspect then pointed a silver revolver and fired at a teller.
The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The teller was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently undergoing surgery.
The suspect is described as a black male, 6'2", with a muscular build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans, dark glasses, black gloves, tan work boots and a dark blue long sleeve shirt.
