Pair Use Assault Rifle To Rob North Philadelphia Convenience Store

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police have released surveillance video after two men robbed a North Philadelphia convenience store with an assault rifle last week.
Police say the incident happened around 8:40 p.m. Thursday at the Clearfield Food Market at the 2400 block of W. Clearfield Street.

Detectives say two males wearing masks entered the store.
Once inside, one of the men pointed an AR-15 rifle at store owner, Mario Lora who was behind the counter at the time.
"He pointed the gun at my face. He said 'where's the money?' I said right there. He said 'give it to me.' I opened the register. Then he got the money and said 'don't move or I'll shoot you,'" said Lora.
The men stole $500 and fled on foot.
No one was injured and Lora says he and another store employee inside at the time are lucky to be alive.
"I am. This is the second time I got robbed. Once here and once in Jersey so I'm lucky," he said.
Lora believes he has more than just luck on his side.
"If you believe in God you're going to be safe," he said.
Police are hoping the newly released surveillance video will lead to an arrest. They are looking for two black males around 20 years-of-age.
The first suspect is described as 5'11", thin build, light skin, wearing a black ski mask, orange hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, tan pants and armed with a black AR-15 style rifle.
The second suspect is described as 6'0", medium build wearing a black ski mask, and all dark clothing.
