Rob Ellis To Join CBS 3 & CW Philly As Sports Reporter/Anchor This September
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Rob Ellis, SportsRadio 94 WIP and 610 WIP host, will join CBS 3 and The CW Philly as a sports reporter/anchor this month, Vice President and News Director Susan Schiller has announced. Ellis will report for the station's newscasts and sports specials. He will also fill in for Sports Director Beasley Reece and Weekend Sports Anchor Lesley Van Arsdall in addition to continuing his WIP hosting duties.
Ellis has been on-air with WIP since May, 2007. Previously, he was a senior producer at Comcast SportsNet, producing Daily News Live and Pro Football Now. He was also on-air at WPEN and worked in production at ESPN. In 2006, Ellis was honored with a 2006 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award in the Outstanding Interview/Discussion Series category for Daily News Live.

A native of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Ellis is a 1995 graduate of Temple University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management.
