Road Closures In New Jersey, Pennsylvania
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) – Officials announced Thursday morning that some roads and bridges in New Jersey remain closed due to superstorm Sandy.
As of Thursday, officials announced that access into Strathmere, New Jersey must be made through Ocean City.
Officials also announced that the following roads remain closed in New Jersey:
- County Road 604 - Beach Drive between Baltimore and Wilmington in Cape May, Cape May County.
- County Road 619 - Ocean Drive from 4th Avenue to Townsends Inlet Bridge in Avalon, Cape May County due to portions of roadway being washed away.
- County Road 619 – Ocean Drive from 29th Street in Sea Isle to 56th Street in Ocean City, Cape May County due to the road being covered in sand and damaged.
- Townsend Inlet Bridge in Cape May County.
- Route 71/Main Street Bridge over Shark River linking Belmar and Avon-By-The-Sea in Monmouth County will be closed for 60 days – in need of extensive electrical repairs. Pedestrians and motorists will be redirected to Route 35 Bridge.

The following roads remain closed in Pennsylvania:
- Terwood Road by Greyhorse Road in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County.
- Terwood Road between Edgehill and Papermill Road in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County.
- Pioneer Road between Davisville and Frontier Road in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County.
- Pioneer Road between Butternut and Byberry Road in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County.
- Huntingdon Road between Masons Mill and Edgehill Road in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County.
- Broadway Avenue between Blair Mill Road and Magnolia Avenue in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County.
