FOLSOM, Pa. (CBS) -- An English teacher at Ridley High School is facing criminal charges for allegedly supplying alcohol to one of her students last month.
Investigators say teacher Katherine Preusser, 33, was in a car parked in a vacant lot near the Franklin Mint, accompanied by a male student behind the wheel and a female student.
Pennsylvania state police say they found open beer cans inside, along with a metal box containing marijuana and a bong.
Preusser and the female student failed on-site breathalyzer tests and, according to officials, all three provided conflicting stories about how they got there.
More to the point, the students' parents later told state police they had no idea their kids were with Preusser at the time.
Now, she is facing five misdemeanor counts of providing alcohol to minors. She has reportedly been suspended from her teaching post, but officials at the Ridley School District have not made themselves available for comment.
