$7,500 Reward Offered In Convenience Store Robbery, Shooting That Left Clerk Severely Injured

CAMDEN, N.J., (CBS) – A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for a convenience store robbery and shooting that left a store clerk severely injured.

Detectives believe a group of men are responsible for at least eight armed robberies in Camden and Burlington counties from December 10 to this week.

Investigators say some of the robberies were committed by one man, others by as many as three men.

One of these robberies led to a 7-Eleven store clerk being shot and severely injured (See Related Story).

It happened on Jan. 10th at the store on Westfield Avenue in Pennsauken.  In that incident, investigators say the 28-year-old store clerk reached for an emergency alarm button and was shot repeatedly. He was struck multiple times and is still in critical condition at Cooper Hospital.

7-Eleven is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for the shooting.

In addition, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office is offering $2,500 for information, bringing the reward total to $7,500.

Investigators describe the suspects as black and white or Hispanic. Investigators believe the eight incidents are connected due to similar types of clothing worn by the suspects in all the incidents. The robbers wear masks and hoods in all the incidents, making identification difficult.
