Reward Offered For Info Leading To Arrest Of Abduction, Sexual Assault Suspect

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police say a $2,500 reward is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest of Manuel Cintron who is wanted in connection with an abduction and sexual assault in Fishtown earlier this month.

Police say around 5:25 a.m. on May 1, a 22-year-old woman was walking east on the 2000 block of East York Street when a male pointed a handgun at her and forced her into an early model possible 90s Dodge or Chrysler minivan.

The victim reported the suspect said, "Do exactly what I say and I won't hurt you! Get into the van."

Authorities say the suspect drove the victim a short distance and allegedly sexually assaulted her inside of the vehicle.

Police say the suspect released the victim in the area of York and Almond Streets.

About an hour earlier that same night, police say a female reported she was approached by a male as she walked towards the corner of 12th and Ruscomb Street.

Police say the woman reported the man displayed a handgun and verbally threatened her saying, "Let's go, and don't do anything stupid or I'll shoot you in the head."

He then attempted to force her into his vehicle.

Police say as he was pushing her, the female fought him off and was able to break free.

The woman says she ran to a SEPTA bus and later notified police.

Authorities say Cintron is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact Philadelphia Police.
