Reward Offer Doubled In Chester Triple Shooting, Victim Speaks Out

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- A reward of $10,000 is now being offered for information on the gunmen who opened fire Saturday night on a Chester street corner, killing a 14-year-old, critically injuring his 16-year-old cousin and wounding a 32-year-old woman...all, police say, innocent victims "caught in the crossfire."
14-year-old Zenas Powell, who had attended his 8th grade dance the night before and was looking forward to graduating from Chester Community Charter School, died, the hail of bullets near 10th and Pine Streets. His cousin, 16-year-old Quamar Powell, remains in critical condition.
A third victim, Janene Shipley,with a bullet that pierced her shoulder and remains lodged in her back, has been released from the hospital.
The doubling of the reward offer was made possible by Vahan Gureghian, founder of the Charter School and CEO of the company that operates two others in Chester. He and his wife also came forward to pay funeral expenses for the murdered teenager's family.
Chief James Nolan of the Chester Police Department says it appears the gunmen, who remain on the loose,were aiming at another intended target.
Nolan says investigators are checking surveillance video to see if it can help catch the killers.
