Revolution For Old City's Snow White Diner
OLD CITY, PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - An iconic corner in Old City now boasts a new restaurant.
The Snow White Diner was in operation for 60 years at 2nd and Market Streets before owner John Poulos closed it for renovations.
"The Snow White was here from 1950, my uncle originally opened it along with two other Snow Whites and when he died, it went over to my father," Poulos said.
Now, the restaurant has re-opened as Revolution House. Poulos, who until now only opened his restaurant during the day, says opening for dinner has been a revolution for him. What prompted the extended hours?
"Liquor. When we got that liquor license, we had to stay open. That's where the money is at dinnertime anyways. My father was very anti drinking. He wanted just plain old food, breakfast, lunch and a little bit of dinner and that's it," Poulos said.

He says he's gotten a lot of reactions at the opening of the new restaurant.
"A lot of people come in and say, 'You're still here?!' They're really shocked sometimes when they see me, they say wow, I didn't know you were gonna be here anymore. I thought you were gone!"
