Residents Begin Clean Up, Enjoy Snow Day Across Philadelphia Region
DOYLESTOWN, Pa., (CBS) – Snowfall was significant enough that many schools thought it best that kids stay home.
Kids may love a snow day, but grown-ups know cleaning up after the storm can be tough work.
It all happened so fast.
Anticipation turned to white out snow conditions to clear roads and relief for those worried about a Sunday repeat.
And unlike the weekend - everyone seemed prepared for today.
On the border of North Philadelphia and Montgomery County - the storm turned the snow and salt off North Broad into a wet brown sludge.
"Real slushy, especially in front of my building," a resident said.
Which for building manager Quinn Coston means a little more elbow grease.
"I mean I love the snow but if you work in it, wow a lot of work," Coston said.
Across the border in Abington, far from any main road, the perfect sled hill and free day.
Further north, residents toil with digging out in Doylestown.
"Honestly - now I'm ready for the summer, I've had my snow for the year," a resident said.
