Resident Critically Injured In Pottstown House Fire

POTTSTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – One of three people rescued from a house fire in Montgomery County early Monday morning is in critical condition.
The two-alarm fire stated at about 7:50 a.m. inside a three-story home in the 100 block of E. 23rd Street in Pottstown.
According to fire officials, three residents were rescued from the burning home. One victim was air-lifted to an area hospital where they are listed in critical condition.
A firefighter and two other residents were also injured and were taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
The fire was officially placed under control at about 9:30 a.m.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
