Resident Beaten, Cash Taken In Violent Kensington Home Invasion
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Authorities are working to track down the two men and a woman involved in a violent home invasion robbery in Kensington Friday morning.
It happened on Cambria Street near Kensington Avenue just before 2 a.m.
Detectives say two men, one armed with a gun and another with a baseball bat, broke in. A struggle ensued, and the 25-year-old woman who was already inside and drinking with the victim actually joined in on the beating.
The victim -- in his early 40s -- is in stable condition with bumps and bruises.
About $1,000 in cash and two video game consoles were stolen.
Police are still searching for clues on who did this. They believe this was a setup.
