Report: Sixers Have Engaged With Cavs About First Overall Pick
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)– Apparently, the Sixers want Andrew Wiggins and they want him bad.
Days after 94WIP's Anthony Gargano reported a source told him the Sixers will do "whatever they need to do to land Wiggins," ESPN.com's Chad Ford reported on Tuesday night that the Sixers have "engaged the Cavs about moving to number one."
Ford's reported states while the Sixers aren't willing to give up the third and 10th overall picks to move up to the number one spot, they are willing to deal Thaddeus Young and the third pick.
Young will make about $9.1 million in 2014-15 and has a player option worth about $9.8 million in 2015-16.
Wiggins, along with Jabari Parker and Joel Embiid, is projected to be a top-three draft pick. He will work out with the Sixers next weekend, according to Ford.
