Report: Sixers Finalizing A Deal With Darius Morris
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers moves this offseason have been pretty consistent. Acquire low-risk, low-cost, young players, who once showed promise and have not yet realized that talent.
This most recent move fits that bill.
The Sixers are finalizing a deal with former Lakers guard Darius Morris, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports.
Morris' contract will be partially guaranteed, according to the report, but Morris will play "meaningful minutes" in the Sixers backcourt, according to the report.
Morris averaged 4.2 points and 1.6 assists in just over 14 minutes per game for the Lakers last year. Morris was a second round pick for the Lakers in 2011 out of the University Of Michigan.
Morris shot 36.4% from three in 2012, and 44% from three in 2011, but did not shoot nearly as well in college.
