Report: Sixers Coaching Search Down To Six Candidates
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Sam Hinkie often talks about the "process." His process for finding a head coach, one that seems like it's taken forever, seems to be coming down the home stretch.
The Sixers will hold another round of interviews with four candidates this week in New York, and will include owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer, along with Hinkie, according a Yahoo! Sports report. The team will re-interview Atlanta's Kenny Atkinson, San Antonio's Brett Brown, Chicago's Adrian Griffin and Boston's Jay Larranaga. Portland assistant David Vanterpool is said to still be a candidate, along with Sixers assistant coach Michael Curry.
I'm excited that the process is almost finished, but disappointed that the dream of Kwame Brown, player-coach, seems to be all crushed.
