Report: Settlement Reached In Kobe Bryant Memorabilia Case
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A deal has been reached between Kobe Bryant, and the memorabilia company that was set to sell a collection of his old memorabilia, ESPN is reporting.
Goldin Auctions has removed approximately 90% of the items that were set to be sold, the report says.
"We regret our actions and statements related to the Kobe Bryant auction memorabilia," said Joe and Pamela Bryant in a statement to ESPN, provided by a publicist. "We apologize for any misunderstanding and unintended pain we have caused our son and appreciate the financial support he has provided over the years. We also apologize to Goldin Auctions for their inadvertent involvement in this matter and thank them for their assistance."
Two of Bryant's high school uniforms will be included in the auction, as well as two 2000 Los Angeles Lakers championship rings. The proceeds for some of the items in the auction will be donated to charity.
The auction is set for July 17th until the 19th.
