Report: Michael Young Will Waive No-Trade Clause For Red Sox, Yankees
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A day after a report surfaced that Michael Young would only approve a trade to the Texas Rangers, a couple of teams have been added to that list.
Michael Young, who has a full no-trade clause, would also approve a trade to the Boston Red Sox, according to a report from Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. As well, Young would approve a trade to the Yankees, according to a report from Mark Feinsand of the NY Daily News.
Young has been mentioned in trade rumors to many American League teams, including the Yankees, Red Sox and Rangers.
The Phillies promoted third base prospect Cody Asche from AAA Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, and have said they plan to play Asche, which would leave Young without a spot in the lineup.
