Report: Ilya Bryzgalov Signs With Russian Team
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – On the same day that Scott Hartnell, Matt Read and Claude Giroux decided to grow lockout beards (read related story), Ilya Bryzgalov decided to leave the country all together.
Bryagalov will sign with CSKA Moscow of the KHL according to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period.
The team, owned by Sergei Fedorov, reportedly also signed Pavel Datsyuk.
Bryzgalov already said he'd head to Russia to play in the event of a lockout, so this isn't entirely surprising.
The NHL locked players out earlier this week, and the two sides do not have any plans to meet.
