Report: Faryd Mondragon Will Leave Philadelpia Union For Colombia's Deportivo Cali

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It looks like Philadelphia Union will be holding on to Sebastien Le Toux, but will be losing goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon.
Colombian soccer league Liga Posotbon wrote on their website today that Mondragon will be returning to Deportivo Cali. Mondragon also confirmed the move yesterday.
Brotherly Game, a Philadelphia site dedicated to coverage of Union soccer, had the following to say about Mondragon's departure:
The 40-year-old began his 21-year career with Deportivo in 1990-91, after being shuttled back and forth from practices during his youth at the club. Mondragon was drawn back to Cali by the nostalgia and ability to retire not only where he grew up, but also where his career started.
Mondragon became a Union fan favorite, often interacting with Union fan group Sons Of Ben before and during games. He started 27 games last season, allowing 1.06 goals per game and had a 62% save percentage.
This will most likely leave the goalkeeping duties to Zac Macmath. The 20 year-old Macmath went 3-0-3 last year, with a similar 1.07 goals against average, and a 64% save percentage.
Union said on Sunday that Mondragon was still with the team, and they had no contact with Deportivo Cali. Union had no comment about the report today.
