Report: Evan Turner To Cavs Trade A Possibility
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Evan Turner trade rumor machine is operating at full speed right now. Yesterday, a suggested trade to the Bulls was making the rounds, now, another midwestern team seems to be a possibility.
A report from Fox Sports NBA reporter Sam Amico suggests that a Turner trade to the Cavs could be in the cards. The Cavaliers have been disappointing this year, as the young roster has not meshed well so far, in a season that the playoffs seemed to be the minimum goal. There has been rumored tension in the backcourt between point guard Kyrie Irving and shooting guard Dion Waiters, and first overall pick Anthony Bennett has not adjusted to the NBA very well at all.

The Cavs are in need of a solid small forward, a role that Turner has filled for the Sixers this year.
The Cavs do have more young assets than the Bulls would at this point. Bennett and Tristan Thompson play the same position (power forward) so one of the two could be available. As well, Waiters would seem moveable if he can't exist with Irving.
The small forward market seems to be a relatively deep one right now, with Luol Deng, Arron Afflalo and Turner all said to be available for the right price. Both Deng and Turner's contracts expire after the season, while Afflalo's deal at $7.75 million extends for two more seasons.
