Report: Eagles To Sign Mark Sanchez
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Eagles lost their backup quarterback to the New York Jets over the weekend, so they replaced him with a former New York Jets quarterback.
According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Eagles will sign former Jets QB Mark Sanchez. Sanchez was released when the Jets signed Michael Vick.
Sanchez will be the second USC quarterback on the Eagles roster, after the team selected Matt Barkley in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Sanchez didn't play during the 2013 season due to injury, and the Jets started rookie Geno Smith. In the four season Sanchez did play, he has a 33-29 record, and a QB rating of 71.7.
Sanchez, 27 years old, was selected fifth overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.
