Report: Brett Brown Hired As Coach Of The Sixers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Much like the search itself, the Sixers negotiations with Brett Brown took a little time. All's well that ends well.
According to a report from Ken Berger of CBS Sports, the Sixers have agreed to a four-year deal with the Spurs assistant to become the team's next head coach.
A report from Yahoo! Sports surfaced Friday that the team had offered the job to Brown, and the two sides were negotiating. ESPN's Marc Stein reported over the weekend that some were telling Brown not to accept the job, because the team is likely to lost 60+ games the first year, but later reported that the Spurs were "bracing" for Brown to accept the job.
Brown has been an assistant coach for the Spurs since 2007, and was the team's director of player development from 2002 until he became an assistant coach.
