Report: Bill O'Brien To Interview For Texans Head Coaching Job
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Bill O'Brien has become known as the coach who saved Penn State football. They may be looking for someone else to finish the job he started very shortly.
According to NFL.COM's Ian Rappaport, O'Brien has agreed to interview for the head coaching position of the NFL's Houston Texans. The Texans current interim head coach is Wade Phillips.
Whatever team signs O'Brien to leave Penn State would be responsible for paying a $6.5 million buyout to the school.
O'Brien has been the head coach at Penn State since the 2012 season, and has a 15-9 record in his two seasons.
